Paris Paloma Releases New Song “Good Boy” featuring Emma Thompson
British singer-songwriter Paris Paloma released a new song “Good Boy” on September 19, 2025.
On the track, she teamed up with British actress Emma Thompson. The song opens with a foreword from Emma Thompson: “I knew one day I'd have to watch powerful men burn the world down. I just didn't expect them to be such losers.”
Paris Paloma first performed the song during her Cacophony Tour in Manchester back in June.
The track was written by Paris Paloma. Produced by Paris Paloma, Chloe Kramer, and Carrie K.
The accompanying music video was directed by Georgie Cowan-Turner, starring British actor Tom Blyth.
Paris Paloma said of the song, “'Good Boy' is a message to men that you have more in common with me, more in common with everyday women, than you do with men in power pushing capitalist patriarchy; so don't be their good boy. Any knee-jerk reaction to women criticising and working against patriarchy, by calling women 'man haters', bites off your own nose, and upholds a system that isolates and betrays you, cutting you off from community and love. You won't be rewarded by those in power for upholding a system that harms you and benefits them. You'll get nothing, not even so much as a 'good boy.'”- She shared on social media, “Good Boy is finally out. I'm over the moon. This song and video is the culmination of so much work and collaboration in order to make its message as unmistakable and true to my art as possible, in a time where I feel like many of us could descend into madness at the state of the world. But we have to make art and music in the dark times. Thank you to everyone who made this happen.”
She continued, “'Good Boy' is everything I've ever wanted to say to all the men who comment shitty things, threatened by the voices we have as women, who want to tread on women because they think it will earn them some modicum of power or reward. You're being such a good boy for the higher powers that will never reward you for it.” -
She added, “A massive thank you to Emma for recording the intro of my new song 'Good Boy.' Gaia and I have been friends since working on our beloved “Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim” a year and a half ago, and I then met Emma when the power mother-daughter duo came to my show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire. To have collaborated with such a feminist icon as Emma, someone who I know so many women and girls of all ages look up to, means so much to me, someone who has immense grace and power. When I had the idea to use Rebecca Shaw’s article headline as the spoken word intro to the song, I really struggled to not hear it in Emma’s voice after meeting her. The perfect mix of humour, empathy, and a tone of mutual understanding that she has been there.
