Glass Animals Releases New Song “Vampire Bat”
British indie rock band Glass Animals, consisting of Dave Bayley (vocals/guitar), Drew MacFarlane (guitar), Edmund Irwin-Singer (bass) and Joe Seaward (drums), released a new song “Vampire Bat” on August 8, 2025.
The song is the fifth instalment in their Fresh Fruit Series.
The band first performed the song at secret DJ set “Free Kiwis” in London on July 25, 2025.
Fresh Fruit is a space for the band frontman Dave Bayley and the band to experiment - bringing in guests and collaborators and allowing Dave Bayley (who produces all of the Glass Animals records) to play with new sounds.
Previous Fresh Fruit releases have been “Lose Control” with Joey Bada$$, the much-missed “Gold Lime”, “Tokyo Drifting” with Denzel Curry and “I Don't Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance)” with Albert Hammond Jr.
“Vampire Bat” is a collaboration between Dave Bayley and producer Rob Bisel.- Dave Bayley said of the song, “Thank all of you for being such a big part of bringing this one into the world...finding the USB's, guessing passwords, turning up at last minute DJ sets in Londis, etc. The love on it has already been overwhelmingly awesome. huge thank you to the legend that is Rob Bisel for making this one with us, Manny Marroquin on the mix, and Chris Gehringer on the master.”
