Leap Year Returns With New Song “Bridges”
New York City-based alt-rock band Leap Year returned with a new song “Bridges” on September 19, 2025.
The song is their fist music in over a year, following the debut song “Breathe Into Me” released last May.
The track is about making life count amidst struggles with addiction, blending elements of hip-hop, alternative rock, and even grunge, with sparse, shimmering guitars and hard-hitting drums layered over deep 808s.
As with the previous song, it was written by Jason Tables, Neil Anderson, and Ryan Renn, and produced by Intangiblebeatz.
The band said of the song, “It's an important song to us. This song is about the people that have been taken from us too soon, and the emotional weight left in their absence...but it's also a song of hope. It's about honoring those we've lost by living with passion while we still can.”- Leap Year are the latest genre-bending sonic phenomena to hail out of Stamford, CT. Officially founded in 2024, Leap Year was less a band coming together than a voice emerging.
Aiming to invigorate those who come across their haunting melodies.
Originally known as producers for hip-hop artist Pastor Troy, Leap Year are reinventing their image with bombastic alt-rock tracks. - source : Apple Music
