Ananya Releases New Song “Falling”
London-based singer-songwriter Ananya released a new song “Falling” on July 25, 2025.
The song is based on her experience in a poorly timed relationship, capturing the mental battle between the heart and the head when you're in a relationship you know may not be good for you.
Ananya first performed the song during a Glamour Magazine South Africa livestream mid-pandemic, from her family home in Harare of Zimbabwe.
Since then, many fans have been begging her to release this single.
Ananya recalled, “It was surreal. I was singing about vulnerability to a camera, but somehow it connected.”
The song still carries the emotional honesty of its origins and has evolved into a full-bodied track.
It was written by Ananya Kouds and produced by Patch Boshell.- Ananya said of the song, “I wrote it in a place where I was questioning everything. My boundaries, my emotional honesty, and whether I was getting too close to someone who wasn't ready. It's that internal tug-of-war between heart and logic.”
She added, “I hope Falling speaks to anyone who's ever had to bite their tongue and pretend they're okay. I wanted it to feel like you're moving through your own emotional mess with just enough rhythm to keep going.” -
