  • Good Neighbours Premieres New Song “People Need People” on BBC Radio 1

  • London-based pop duo Good Neighbours, consisting of Oli Fox (vocals/guitar) and Scott Verrill (guitar), premiered a new song “People Need People” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.

The song is the seventh and final pre-release single from their upcoming debut album “Blue Sky Mentality”, which is set to be released on September 26, 2025 via Polydor Records.
The track was written and produced by Oli Fox and Scott Verrill.

The duo said of the song, “The title is everything the track is about. When we started this band, we were in and out of jobs and struggling with staying afloat. Luckily, we had an amazing group of mates around us who we've seen laugh and cry when the going gets tough. The song should be an arm around the ones you love.”
  • The band lead singer Oli Fox told Jack Saunders about the song, “'People Need People' is a track about putting an arm around a friend and bringing all of your loved ones closer and just having a great time.”

He continued, “I think this one for us was our like, festival tune. And when we were writing it at the beginning, we wanted to write one that we could play at the festivals in the summer. And ironically, we haven't played it any of them, just because we don't want to tease too much new music. But it can't wait for 2026. Just in the sun, people just going through it would be great.”

  • The debut album, comprises 14 tracks, including 2 songs from the EP “Good Neighbours”.

Scott Verrill said of the album, “I mean, we kind of we made it all on the road. It was kind of just testing out on the road, seeing what people think, piecing it together in the back of a van. But it's finished as our baby, and it's out of our hands. I think we got that thing that's like, that classic artist thing where you're always making. So mentally, we're already, like, onto the next thing. And we're just proud of this and gonna show it off.”
