  • Slightly Stoopid Teams Up with B-Real & Chali 2na for New Song “The Upside Down”

  • San Diego-based rock band Slightly Stoopid, consisting of Miles Doughty (vocals/guitar), Kyle McDonald (vocals/bass), Ryan Moran (drums), Daniel 'DeLa' Delacruz (saxophone), Andy Geib (trombone) and Paul Wolstencroft (keyboards), teamed up with American rappers B-Real and Chali 2na to release a new song “The Upside Down” on July 18, 2025.

This marks the first time three artists have worked together. But Slightly Stoopid and Chali 2na collaborated for the 2012 song “Just Thinking” and the 2018 song “Higher Now”.
The song is the follow-up to “Step Into The Sun”, which was released last month.
Both songs will appear on the band's upcoming tenth studio album, which is set o be released next year.
Recorded at the renowned Sonic Ranch studios in El Paso, Texas, the new album will mark their first full-length release in eight years, following 2018 album “Everyday Life, Everyday People”.
The track was written by B-RealChali 2na, Kyle McDonald, and Miles Doughty. Produced by Slightly Stoopid, George Spits, and James Wisner.
  • The band said of the song, “We're stoked to release 'The Upside Down' with hip hop legends B-Real of Cypress Hill and Chali 2na. The song has an underlying theme of more love in this world. The magnitude of music bringing us all together is real and supersedes the narrative of negativity in this life. We are stronger as one, smoke stack it and enjoy the ride!”
