Confidence Man & JADE Premiere New Song “gossip” on BBC Radio 1
London-based Australian electro pop band Confidence Man and British singer-songwriter JADE teamed up to premiere a new song “gossip” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.

This marks the first collaboration between Confidence Man and JADE.
Confidence Man and JADE first performed the song at Glastonbury Festival 2025 last month.
For Confidence Man, the song is the their first music since the 2024 album “3AM (LA LA LA)”.
The track was written by Aidan Moore, Grace Stephenson, Jade Thirlwall, and Lewis Stephenson. Produced by Reggie Goodchild.
The accompanying music video was directed by India Harris.

Confidence Man said of the song, “Talk shit get a hit. There's been a lot of chat going round but we can finally give you the truth of it. Gossip is here and god it tastes good. JADE put the cherry on top of this pop sundae and we can't stop eating.”
Confidence Man told Jack Saunders about the song, “We had the track. It was, I think the first renditional was from seven years ago. The original demo. I mean, it changed a lot since then. But just kind of like, reemerged. And then we knew there was one missing ingredient. Then, I think Jade came out. That is perfect. It turns out it was perfect.”

The band said how this all came together, “I can't remember, like, how exactly we met, oh, we actually stacked it in front of Jade at the Enemy Awards (Rolling Stone [UK] Awards). And I think that was kind of where our romance kind of began.”

JADE added, “I remember it well, because when you perform at those kind of Award shows, it can be a bit awkward sometimes. And I just remember, really, like, rating Confidence Man, for just going for it in front of everyone. And then I kind of deep dived into all their music, like fell in love with them.”
Before, JADE told Rolling Stone UK, “I love Confidence Man. Do you know when I actually started stanning them properly? It was after the Rolling Stone [UK] Awards! They performed there, and you know what it's like. You go to these awards shows and it's a little bit awkward because it's tables of people being very elegant and stuff, and they just rocked up and did a flip... one of them fell! I thought, do you know what, respect to them for doing that. Then I followed them, we got in touch, they had this song, 'Gossip', and then we just got in the studio and finished it.”
