X Ambassadors Releases New Single “Renegades (Rerecorded)”
American pop-rock band X Ambassadors, consisting of Sam Nelson Harris (vocals/guitar), Casey Harris (keyboards), Adam Levin (drums) and Russ Flynn (guitar), released a new version of “Renegades”, called “Renegades (Rerecorded)” on July 25, 2025.
The new song will appear on their upcoming reimagined version of the debut album “VHS”, entitled “VHS(X) [Rerecorded]”, which is set to be released on August 29, 2025.
“VHS(X) [Rerecorded]” celebrates the 10th anniversary of their debut album.
The original version of “Renegades” was released as the second single from the debut album in March 20215.
It was written by A. Grant, Adam Levin, Casey Harris, Noah Feldshuh, and Sam Nelson Harris. The new version was produced by X Ambassadors.- The band frontman Sam Nelson Harris said of the song, “I didn't think much of this song at first, I'll be honest. After I sent it off to Alex the day I wrote it, I didn't think about it at all. But over the years as I've witnessed how much it's meant to so many people, and the doors it opened for me and the band, it's grown on me. It's come to represent something scrappy and authentic about who I am and who we are as a band. Unconventional, in a world of our own, and uniquely us.”
