RUBII Premieres New Song “No Love” on BBC Radio 1
Birmingham-based alt-R&B singer-songwriter RUBII premiered a new song “No Love” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Sian Eleri.
The song is the third single of 2025, following “Twin Flame” and “Keep Hush” with AMARIA BB.
Three songs will appear on her upcoming EP, which is set to be released in September 2025.
She first performed the song at Glastonbury Festival 2025 last month.
It was written by RUBII and produced by Docent.
RUBII told Sian Eleri about the song, “What I love most about this song is. I feel like this type of sound is very true to what I would say my signature sound is. I think just the way that the beat is. I think the drums especially, and then obviously the vocals are still kind of chilled over the top, but then it's in a sort of typical RUBII fashion of having a bit of a moan and a Nag about something. I'm super excited for it to be out and everyone's to enjoy it.”- Before the release of the song, she told Dance Wax about the song, “The usual introspective vocals and 'Bitter Chill' element of my music. It is very, what I would describe as, my signature sound-with 'Jealousy', 'Jammin' and 'Twin Flame'. There are lots of layers-a chill, jealousy-type beat with relaxed vocals but a very clear message. Something I'm sure a lot of people can relate to. If I show you love and you fail to show me love, I won't show you anymore love. It's something I feel maybe I should work on but then, honestly, a lot of the time I think it's pretty valid to retract your love from people who don't deserve it. I've solidified it in a song now, so let's not catch me going back on my word.”

The new EP is her first project in a year since the EP “Change & Remain” and comprises 8 tracks.
RUBII said of the EP, “The new EP, which will be coming out hopefully end of summer. It is just big collection of songs that I've been writing over the past like, year year and a half. It's all sort of about the same thing, but I'm super excited for everyone to listen to new music. Everyone's been asking for a new 'Jealousy' type track. So I hope I achieve that.”
