LANY Releases New Song “Last Forever”
American pop-rock band LANY, consisting of Paul Jason Klein (vocals/guitar) and Jake Clifford Goss (drums), released a new song “Last Forever” on September 5, 2025.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming sixth studio album “Soft”, which is set to be released on October 10, 2025.
The track was written by King Henry, Nicolle Galyon, and Paul Jason Klein. Produced by Tommy King and LANY, as with the previous song “Know You Naked” released last month.
The song is accompanied by the Isaac Ravishankara-directed music video.
The video was inspired by the band frontman Paul Jason Klein's near-death experience in a car accident.
In June 2024, while riding his Vespa home from the gym in Los Angeles, he was hit by a car turning left at an intersection, which threw him through the car's windshield and left him with serious injuries.
Paul Jason Klein said of the song, “I love this song so much. Can't believe it's ours. Written July 11, 2024 with Nicolle Galyon and King Henry in a town of 2,000 people called sterling, Kansas 1 month after getting hit by a car.”- Paul Jason Klein told Rolling Stone about the accident, “It was a Thursday evening, June 6, like 8:45 p.m. I was just coming through the intersection of La Brea and Santa Monica, going north on La Brea. I think the light turned yellow right as I was starting to go through, and the car at the light tried to quickly take a left across the intersection and didn't see me. I remember squeezing my brakes. I was like, 'OK, this is gonna happen. Nothing is slowing down the way we need to.' I woke up on a stretcher being put into an ambulance, and I try to rack my brain around what happened. I was unconscious for maybe 20 minutes.”
He added, “But when I woke up, it felt like God was telling me, 'I love you so much, and don't question it ever again.' I feel like I was caught in midair and laid down. All that to say, part of me feels like for the rest of my life I'm gonna have this to lean on in a weird way.” -
The new album comprises 10 tracks, produced by Tommy King and LANY. It marks their first album in two years since the 2023 album “A Beautiful Blur”.
