  • Lola Young Releases New Song “d£aler”

  • British singer-songwriter Lola Young released a new song “d£aler” on July 25, 2025.

The song is the third single off of her upcoming third studio album “I'm Only F**king Myself”, following “Not Like That Anymore” and “One Thing”.
The album is set to be released on September 19, 2025 via Island/Day One.
The song is an upbeat blend of pop and soul, but it also captures her past struggles with self-sabotage.
It was written by Jared Solomon, Lola Young, and William Brown. Produced by Solomonophonic and manuka.

British singer-songwriter Elton John praised the song on Apple Music 1, saying, “I have to say, after listening to the album, there's a track on your album which would be the next single, I'm going to tell everyone it's called 'd£aler'. And if that isn't Number 1, I bet my house that that's a Number 1 single. I bet my house. It is fucking amazing. It's unbelievable. It's the biggest smash I've heard in years.”
  • He told Lola Young, “So I just can't tell you how proud of you I am, because I know what you've been through, and you've come through it on the other side, you're going to have the best career, because you can sing live, you can you are just you've got the whole deal going. All those disappointments, as I said, and all those things that happened to you and hang ups have made you much stronger. And you can see, I can see it in your face now. Lola, I've been listening to you ever since you started. It's so exciting to see someone take hold of themselves and grow before your very eyes.”

  • The new album comprises 14 tracks, co-written and produced with frequent collaborators manuka and SOLOMONOPHONIC. It explores themes of self-sabotage and using addiction as a form of escapism. It is her first album in a year since the 2024 album “This Wasn't Meant for You Anyway”.

Lola Young said of the album, “My ode to self sabotage, my chance to claw myself back from the edge of defeat.”
She told Rolling Stone about the album, “The new album is going to be a lot more about my personal struggle and less so about love. There's some real bangers on there. I can't say too much, but I can say that this feels like a step up.”
