Maren Morris Releases New Song “be a bitch”
American singer-songwriter Maren Morris will release the deluxe edition of her fourth studio album “D R E A M S I C L E” on August 1, 2025 via Columbia Records.
The deluxe edition comprises 18 tracks, including the original 14 songs and four new songs.
From the deluxe edition, she released a new song “be a bitch” on July 25, 2025.
The track was written by Jimmy Robbins, Laura Veltz, and Maren Morris. Produced by Jimmy Robbins and Maren Morris.
Maren Morris said of the song, “After telling my friends in the session about a recent traumatic dating story, I said everything that became a lyric: 'my reputation precedes me, your hairline recedes you' thinking nothing would ever actually go into our song that day, because it's 'too mean.' then I realized I occasionally water my thoughts down to spare a person's feelings. Who is that helping? the person who hurt you that you'll never see again, or is it empowering you to take back your humor of a situation? I don't need to be a pristine heroine you screwed over, I deserve to be mad and eternalize that ego bruise into song. “be a bitch” is for anyone who ever let themselves down by being too nice to someone who was going to take advantage either way.”- The fourth studio album “D R E A M S I C L E” was released back in May. It is the first release since her divorce from fellow American country music singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd. Also, it is her first album since coming out herself.
Maren Morris said of the album, “D R E A M S I C L E takes place in the aftermath of loosening my grip on my personal and professional life. Sweeping through the pits of grief, but never staying too long, and finding the joy in knowing that at my core, I'm still who I am - and that's pretty f-ing great.” -
