CATTY Releases New Song “Prized Possession”
London-based alt-pop singer-songwriter CATTY released her brand new single “Prized Possession” on August 8, 2025.
The song is the follow-up to “Joyride”, which was released back in May.
As with the previous song, written over the course of a week of sessions with collaborators Nathan Challinor and Juliette Edward, the track is about heartbreak and obsession, as if ripped from the pages of a gothic fairytale.
Lyrically, the track is an unfiltered plea to be loved with the same intensity you give away.
Sonically, it built on pounding drums, crunching guitars, warped synths, and cinematic vocal stacks.- CATTY said of the song, “I think it’s fair to say I have a flair for the dramatic because 'Prized Possession' is basically me saying if you’re in love with me, kill the rest (metaphorically, of course.) I love with every fibre of my being, oftentimes to my detriment but 'Prized Possession' is definitely me saying please love me with everything you have in return.”
