Ananya Releases New Song “Man Ray”
London-based singer-songwriter Ananya released a new song “Man Ray” on September 19, 2025.
The track gets its name from the famed fashion designer and surrealist contemporary artist Man Ray.
The song follows “Falling”, which was released back in July.
She wrote the song with producer Ian Barter. Ananya said og woking with Ian Barter, “Writing with Ian is always so natural; he has this incredible way of understanding exactly what a feeling sounds like.”
The track examines young love and loss, memories, and the moments that linger long after they’re over, using vivid storytelling and heartfelt reflection to capture the magnetic pull of past connections and the haunting beauty of what once was.- Ananya said of the song, “'Man Ray' is about remembering the little details, the highs and the lows, the fleeting magic you can’t quite hold onto. It’s about love that was imperfect but real, and the way certain connections keep pulling at you, even when you’ve walked away. It’s about nostalgia, longing, and the quiet energy that memories carry... the way joy and heartbreak can live side by side, and how some love leaves a mark you can’t forget.”

She added, “For everything I never got the chance to say, and for love that never lived up to its promise this is Man Ray. I wrote it with Ian Barter and from the second our session started, it spilled out like words that had been waiting too long to be spoken. Its out now & I hope you love it as much as we loved creating it.”
