Damiano David Releases New Song “Talk to Me” featuring Tyla & Nile Rodgers
Italian rock band Måneskin's frontman Damiano David released the deluxe edition of his debut solo album “FUNNY little STORIES” entitled “FUNNY little FEARS (DREAMS)” on September 12, 2025 via Sony Music Italy and Arista Records.
The the deluxe edition comprises 19 tracks, including the original 14 songs and four new songs.
From the album, he released a new song “Talk to Me” on the same day.
On the track, he teamed up with South African singer-songwriter Tyla and American guitarist Nile Rodgers.
This marks the first time Damiano David, Tyla and Nile Rodgers have worked together.
The track was written by Damiano David, John Hill, Sammy Witte, and Sarah Aarons. Produced by John Hill and Sammy Witte.
The accompanying music video was directed by Shake Plastik Dreamer.- Damiano David said of the song, “I unexpectedly felt a new wave of inspiration as the Funny Little Fears World Tour was approaching, which led me to write 'Talk to Me'. What made this spark even more exciting was knowing that the legendary Nile Rodgers thought the song worthy of adding his solo guitar. I always felt this song should be a duet, and since I've recently been listening a lot to Water, I was completely blown away and really wanted to have [Tyla] sing it with me.”
Tyla said, “Damiano sent me this record and I instantly fell in love with how nostalgic it felt. I heard myself on it straight away. Excited about how new it feels for me, my tygrs gonna luv ittt.”
Nile Rodgers said, “When I received the song from Damiano and Tyla, I really loved the vibe of it and I wanted my guitar to be the third voice. 'Talk To Me' was a fun one to work on!” -
The album continues with “Cinnamon” featuring American rock band The Strokes' Albert Hammond Jr. A vibrant, guitar-led track where Hammond Jr's signature riffs intertwine with Damiano's melodic intensity, bringing an uplifting energy to the collection.
On “Naked”, he presents a stripped-back, intimate ballad, exploring vulnerability and emotional honesty.
“Mysterious Girl” offers a catchy, cinematic, dark-pop atmosphere with an irresistible hook, showcasing Damiano's storytelling and his ability to craft intrigue through music.
The final new track on the extended is “Over”, a soaring, cathartic track in which heartbreak is transformed into hope, perfectly encapsulating the album's journey from fear to dream. - source : Apple Music
