Denham Audio Teams Up with piri & tommy for New Song “Heavy Handed”
London-based DJ Denham Audio and British dance-pop duo piri & tommy teamed up to release a new song “Heavy Handed” on August 22, 2025.
This marks the first collaboration between Denham Audio and piri & tommy.
For Denham Audio, the song is the follow-up to Undaground with Ejeca.
Meanwhile, for piri, the song is the third collaborative single of 2025, following “Body Language” with Omar+ and “Guts” with Ellie Dixon.
Also, tommy, aka Tommy Villiers joined in the song after the release a remix of Mackwood's “Thunder”.
The song is a high-energy yet tender cut, built on equal parts dancefloor euphoria and emotional release, featuring piri’s airy vocals and Tommy Villiers' luminous guitar riffs.
The track was written by Peri Ashwood, piri, Sophie McBurnie, and Thomas Villiers. Produced by Denham Audio, Thomas Villiers, and piri.- The duo's lead singer piri said of the song, “There’s no way to be coy about this, the song is about partners being a little too rough in the bedroom! It’s a real problem I’ve picked up on from my own experiences and countless stories from friends, and it was really nice to vent feeling this onto a track. It’s almost educational! The beat moves from being soft and sweet in the verses to really hard in the chorus to match the theme of the song, which I think is really cool. It reflects the contrast in the sensation I’m desiring in the song versus the frustrating reality of things. I love how you can literally FEEL the difference. I know this topic is not easy to bring up face-to-face, so maybe people can use this track to drop a subtle hint to their sneaky link!”
