Iris Caltwait Releases New Song “Serpentine”

Norwegian pop singer-songwriter Iris Caltwait released a new song “Serpentine” on October 1, 2025.
The song is the fifth single off of her upcoming sophomore album “Again, for the first time”, which is set to be released on November 7, 2025 via 777 Music.
The track was inspired by the shocking loss of a friendship two years ago.
It was written by Askjell Solstrand, Sander Askeland, and Vilde Iris Hartveit Kolltveit. Produced by Vilde Iris Hartveit Kolltveit, Sander Askeland, and Askjell.
Iris Caltwait said of the song, "When I was little, I wasn't afraid to get angry. Now I've had to relearn getting mad, and reconnect with indignation. The whole experience that inspired 'Serpentine' ended up being a catalyst for a lot of feelings on this album.”- The new album 16 tracks, co-produced by Askjell and features contributions from Vetle Junker, Jimi Somewhere, Milo Orchis, Lauritz Christiansen, and more.
The project documents a period of emotional disorientation - shaped by personal loss, betrayal, and a slow, unglamorous return to life.
Iris Caltwait said of the album, “A lot of the songs on the album are about trying to reconnect to the child I was and to the person I want to be.”
She continued, “Every beautiful thing felt too big to hold. I started wondering if maybe we're not built to endure all this. That being alive is both a horror and a gift. This album is me trying to understand that.” -
