Lauren Spencer Smith Releases New Song “Thick Skin”
Canadian singer-songwriter Lauren Spencer Smith surprise released a new song “Thick Skin” on October 3, 2025.
She released the song just four month latter after the release her sophomore album “The Art of Being a Mess”, which was released back in June.
As the single, the track follows the collaborative single “Friends Don't” with Canadian singer-songwriter Alexander Stewart, which was released last month.
It was written by Cal Shapiro, Lauren Spencer Smith, Victoria Zaro, and Adam Yaron, who also produced the track.
Lauren Spencer Smith said of the song, “I wrote ‘Thick Skin’ during a time when I felt both anger and power. It’s about realizing that every setback was actually building my strength—that what was meant to break me only made me tougher.
