Honey Dijon Premieres New Song “The Nightlife” featuring Chlöe on BBC Radio 1
American DJ Honey Dijon premiered a new song “The Nightlife” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
This time, she teamed up with American singer-songwriter Chloe Bailey, aka Chlöe on the track.
It marks the first collaboration between Honey Dijon and Chlöe.
The song is the title track of her upcoming album “The Nightlife”, which is expected to be released in 2025.
It was written by Byron Burke, Byron Stingily, Chloe Bailey, Christopher Lawrence Penny, Gershon Jackson, Honey Redmond, Luke Francis Matthew Solomon, Nija Charles. Produced by Honey Redmond, Luke Solomon, and Chris Penny.
They have already filmed a music video for the song, which will premiere on October 9, 2025.
Honey Dijon told Jack Saunders about the song, “I'm a big advocate of nightlife and its culture and the roots of its culture and the shoulders that I stand on. And for me, it was just about bringing the past and the present together. Because, like, I've always said, great music has no exploration day. And this is really a celebration of nightlife and nightlife culture. As we know, a lot of our cities have been gentrified and taken over, and there's fewer and fewer places for people to dance and celebrate. So I just want to pay tribute to that. And I'm such a staunch advocate of the joy and freedom and escapism and love and celebration of dance music. And so this is a way of me. The original artist that did this was Kim English, who was no longer with us, and it's such a New York dance floor record, and I wanted to introduce it to a new generation of kids and audiences. And so that was what was going through my mind. And Chloe Bailey is just such an awesome artist, and I'm so honored to work.”- She said of working with Chloe Bailey, “We've been trying to work together for a while now. Andrew Mccatsky, who's my creative director, has been working with Chloe and Halle for so many years. And when I was talking about putting this album together, what energy that I wanted to do, what storytelling I wanted to have on this album. He's just like, 'You should really work with Chloe on this. She'd be so perfect for it.' And so we've just been sort of fan of each other for a long time, and this is just the perfect moment for it to happen.”

Honey Dijon said of the album, “A couple years ago, I received a Grammy for writing 'Alien Superstar' and 'Cozy' on Beyoncés groundbreaking cultural shifting album 'Renaissance'. And so I learned so much writing that album. And I sort of wanted to take what I the experience that I have from that album and apply it to the music that I'm making today. Sonically, emotionally, I think the songwriting is a lot stronger. And having such amazing artists like Bree Runway is on the album, Damon Albarn is on the album, Chloe Bailey is on the album, Andrew Hale and Stuart Matthewman from the Sade, they're on the album. So many incredible artists, and I think people will be really surprised sonically, how I think it's a much more mature album than before. But I also hope that it's fun and it's been really so incredible to expand as an artist and to be able to make this record with so many talented people.” - source : BBC Radio 1
