Tate McRae Releases New Song “TIT FOR TAT”
Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae released her brand new song “TIT FOR TAT” on September 26, 2025.
The song follows “Just Keep Watching”, which was featured on the soundtrack album of the film “F1”. “Just Keep Watching” won Song of the Summer and Best Editing at MTV Video Music Awards 2025.
She wrote the song in Nashville during her Miss Possessive Arena Tour. She said, “Wrote this song 2 weeks ago in Nashville on tour, finding inspiration everywhere I go.”
The track was written by Grant Boutin, Julia Michaels, Ryan Tedder, and Tate McRae. Produced by Ryan Tedder and Grant Boutin.
Back in February, Tate McRae released her third studio album “So Close to What” for the first time in two years via RCA Records.
The album reached No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart, It marked her first album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200.- At that time, she told Rolling Stone about writing songs, “Even though it's work, writing feels like my safe space. The stable part of my life is when I'm able to talk about my feelings. So, I feel like amidst how crazy the year was on tour, it actually was nice to come home and keep writing about my perspective on where I was at in life.”
