Martin Garrix Teams Up with Matisse & Sadko for New Song “Butterflies” featuring BARBZ
Dutch DJ Martin Garrix teamed up with Russian DJ duo Matisse & Sadko again to release a new song “Butterflies” on September 26, 2025 via STMPD RCRDS.
This time, they recruited Greek-American singer-songwriter BARBZ on the track.
Martin Garrix and Matisse & Sadko have worked together eight times. The song is their first collaboration in four years since the 2021 track “Won't Let You Go”.
The song will appear on his upcoming EP “ORIGO”, which is set to be released in 2025.
It was written by Aleksandr Parkhomenko, Barbara Argyrou, Josh Mclelland, Martijn Garritsen, Peter Mark Hammerton, Sam Merrifield, Shaun Farrugia, and Yury Parkhomenko. Produced by Martin Garrix and Matisse & Sadko.
The accompanying music video features their performance footage at Tomorrowland 2025 and displays a message as, “Thank you to every single person who made Tomorrowland 2025 still possible for not giving up and letting fly..”
Martin Garrix said of the EP, “ORIGO the final missing piece after Sentio and IDEM. All three are heavy club-driven projects built around the most requested IDs from sets over the years. ORIGO marks the end (for now) of the club-focused releases and gives tribute to the roots I started with Animals. A loop ends and a new era begins.”- Matisse & Sadko saod of the song, “We met Martijn when he was just 18. None of us imagined that years later we'd still be sharing studios, stages, and memories like these. 'Butterflies' marks collab number 9, but what matters most is that the vibe has always been the same. And of course shoutout to BARBZ for her amazing vocals.”
BARBZ added, “Out Now! Where Should I start from. I really don't have words. I'm so grateful. Thank you Shaun Farrugia for making this happen. I couldn't be more grateful. Martin Garrix thank you so much. What a beautiful journey we had... cheers to many more , you are amazing! Matisse & Sadko really happy that we got to release this song together with Martin:) ps. Recorded first time in Hannover until 7am and then a couples days later in London. What an insane jouney?!” - source : Apple Music
