Lou Emery Returns With New Song “The Moves”
Los Angeles-based pop-rock singer-songwriter Lou Emery returned with a new song “The Moves” on September 19, 2025.
The song is her first music in two years since the 2023 singles “Roots” and “Fools”.
Infused with danceable rhythms, bold vocals, and tongue-in-cheek lyricism, the track captures the rush of anticipation, the thrill of possibility, and the playful tension that comes with new connections.
It was written by Lou Emery and produced by Alex Arnaout. Track features Jack Dratch on drums.
Lou Emery said of the song, “Sometimes, the feeling of having a crush and dissecting every interaction to see if that person likes you back can be the most exhilarating part of a relationship. This song is about wanting to extend that moment as long as possible.”- Lou Emery and Alex Arnaout worked through several iterations of the song before landing on the final version that fully encapsulated its energy.
She said, “Alex and I were stoked when we finally were able to capture that fun, flirty excitement sonically.” -
