For Closure Releases New Song “Take Two”
Los Angeles power-pop punk band For Closure, consisting of Gizz Lazlo (vocals), Luis Estefania (guitar), Wal Rashidi (drums), Marc Maxey (guitar) and Steve Brown (bass), released a new song “Take Two” on August 15, 2025.
The song is the title track of their upcoming EP, which is set to be released on September 12, 2025 via Mindpower Records.
It was written by Gizz Lazlo and Luis Estefania. Produced by Michael Rozon.
The band frontman Gizz Lazlo said of the song, “'Take Two' is a story about two people who find each other, but as in the movies, one takes this bond as sacred and meaningful, while the other is just in it for what they can get. Once that trust is broken you shouldn’t go back or let them back in. Life and love shouldn’t be like a movie—because in the end, there’s no 'Take Two.'”- The new EP comprises 3 tracks, including a cover of Canadian punk band Doughboys' 1989 classic “In My Head”.
Guitarist Marc Maxey said of the EP, “I was happy to be able to contribute to the recording of ‘Take Two’ and ‘In My Head’ this time around, since I joined the band just after Cliffside Serenades was recorded. Working with Michael Rozon was super fun—he had great suggestions for guitar parts I never would have thought of myself.” - source : Apple Music
