Ivory Daze Releases New Song “Corset”
Lincoln-based indie rock band Ivory Daze, consisting of Isahen Harms (vocals/guitar), Maeve Nelson (drums) and Van Foster (bass), will release their upcoming sophomore EP “Chlorine” on October 17, 2025.
This marks their first project in two years since the 2023 debut EP “Doing Just Great”. Also It is the first release under their new label Quiet Panic Records.
The EP comprises 5 tracks, which the band pushes further into the tension between chaos and melody, drawing from the best of '80s and '90s guitar music while carving out their own modern path.
From the EP, the band released a new song “Corset” on September 19, 2025.
The song is the second single off, following “IV League” released last month.
It was written by Isahen Harms, Maeve Nelson, and Van Foster. Produced by Jeremy Wurst.- The band frontman Isahen Harms said of the song, “Musically inspired by the chorus layered guitar tracks of the 80s (Purple Rain by Prince) and the biggest fuzz tone you can get from bands like The Melvins and Smashing Pumpkins. I just write pop songs with distortion.”
At the heart of the EP is distortion sound. Maeve Nelson and Van Foster’s churning, adventurous rhythm section drives each track forward, while Isahen Harms’ guitar and vocal work balances vulnerability with urgency.
Last month, Isahen Harms said of the previous song “IV League”, “‘IV League’ is a very important song to me, written about a deeply personal time in my life. We think it’s the perfect introduction to our new sound and direction for this EP-pairing well with a tequila sunrise and your choice of geekbar. It was created with the intent of blending heavy music elements like blast beats with pop sensibilities,” - source : Apple Music
