Texas-based singer-songwriter Lindsey Rose Black released a brand new song “CUNT HONEY” on August 8, 2025..
The song is an indie pop anthem, exploring Y2K purity culture and queer identity. It is the follow-up to “Texas Hammer”, which was released back in May.
It was written by Daniel Chae, Lindsey Black, and John Velasquez, who also John Velasquez produced the track.
Lindsey Rose Black said of the song, “I wrote this song on my period and about my period! You're welcome. But really, growing up in a small religious town, I learned that painful periods were 'Eve's curse' for causing Adam to sin...There's so much to unpack as to why this is a BANANAS thing to hear as a kiddo in a body that menstruates, and I've been actively deconstructing narratives my body has carried around shame, femininity, and sexuality for years.
