Black Sands Releases New Song “Making Memories”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and producer Andrew Balfour's musical project Black Sands released a new song “Making Memories” on August 15, 2025.
The song is the first single from their upcoming album.
The track is a radiant, feel-good anthem, a love letter to easygoing nights, shared glances, drinks that blur into laughter, and making unforgettable memories, sonically trading his previous synth-pop for country-pop.
It was written by Andrew Balfour, Brandon Chase, Davide Russo, and Ryan Lawrie. Produced by Andrew Balfour and Davide Russo.
Andrew Balfour said of the song, “It’s about carefree nights out-locking eyes with someone across the room, falling in love, getting drunk, dancing, laughing, making unforgettable memories. It feels good. It’s nostalgic, it’s cinematic, and it’s how I hope people end their summer.”- He continued, “This song kicks off a new era for Black Sands and is me getting back to my roots with more guitar driven acoustic pop country music. I hope you love this feel-good end of summer anthem.”
He added, “I used to build sonic worlds to better understand or outrun my pain. Now I'm building something to live in - something that feels like home.” -
