  • The Bros. Landreth Announces New Album “Dog Ear”, Shares New Song “I'll Drive”

  • Canadian alt-rock band The Bros. Landreth, consisting of Joey Landreth (vocals/guitar) and David Landreth (bass), has announced their upcoming fourth studio album “Dog Ear” will be released on November 14, 2025 via Birthday Cake Records.

From the album, the band released the first single called “I'll Drive” on August 27, 2025.
The song is accompanied by a live video, which was filmed by BNB Studios at Private Ear Recording in Toronto.
The track was written with longtime friend and collaborator Jonathan Singleton during the band's 2025 trip to Nashville.
It was written by Dave Landreth, Joey Landreth, Jonathan Singleton, and Roman Clarke. Produced by Joey Landreth, Dave Landreth, Murray Pulver, and Roman Clarke.

The band said of the song, “The tune 'I'll Drive' was kind of a bonus. A bonus level that we got on that trip with Jonathan. I immediately got excited, cause we didn't have any songs like that. We had nothing that sort of lived in that more upbeat space. And it's my favorite song to play. It was one of my favorite songs to record. It's super fun. And Dave and I tend to write about things that are a little heavier and quite personal. So this tune is just like a nice break from some of that more heavy stuff. And it just sort of gets into influences, the music that we grew up listening to Little Feet, Ry Cooder, Bonnie Raitt, stuff like that. And so we really got to channel some of our heroes on that tune.”
  • The new album comprises 11 tracks, featuring guest appearances from American singer-songwriter Bonnie Raitt and Canadian singer-songwriter Begonia.
This record captures the spontaneous and collaborative spirit of their touring band, which includes drummer Roman Clarke and producer Murray Pulver.
The band describes the album as a deeply personal and emotionally resonant work, exploring themes of family and the quest for stability amidst the itinerant life of a touring musician.

The band said of the album, “These songs kept circling back to ideas of refuge-a lighthouse, a shoreline, a dog-eared page to hold your place. They're tiny prayers for who we want to be for our children, and hopeful ideas about who they might become for their own communities. It's really about trying to figure out what it means to be a consistent force in the lives of the people you care about. Maybe something on this record will get stuck in your head, or take root in your heart... Maybe, just maybe it'll work its way into some little useful corner of your life, in the way that songs sometimes can do.”
