South Arcade Announces New EP “PLAY!”, Premieres New Song “Drive Myself Home” on BBC Radio 1
British pop rock band South Arcade, consisting of Harmony Cavelle (vocals), Harry Winks (guitar), Ollie Green (bass), and Cody Jones(drums), has announce their upcoming sophomore EP “PLAY!” will be released on November 21, 2025.
The EP comprises 5 tracks, featuring a guest appearance from American singer-songwriter Bilmuri.
From the EP, the band premiered a new song “Drive Myself Home” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Sian Eleri.
The song is the third single off of the EP, following “Supermodels” and “FEAR OF HEIGHTS”
It was written by Cody Leigh, Harmony Scott-Russell, Ollie Green, and Harry Winks, who also produced the track.
The band said of the song, “'Drive Myself Home' is about realizing that time spent on something or the history attached to it isn't the reason to hold on. What was right once may not be right now, and letting go doesn't make you a bad person; it just means you're doing what's best for you.”- The band lead singe Harmony Cavelle told Sian Eleri about the song, “This song is written for everyone who's ever told us they like listening to our tunes in their car on full blast with the windows down. So this is for all those people.”
She said of the EP title, “I think if I'm being honest, it's actually, like one of the songs, chorus lines says, like, 'I miss this game so much, I think I want to play.' But you're totally right, like, it's that kind of that all encompassing thing, like, in all our natures, like we're really inside the whole gaming thing. So that's to do with playing and playing live we love and that whole like, taking the Mickey H, everything, like, everything light hearted and just like trying to have a good time.” - source : BBC Radio 1
