Helen O'Shea Releases New Song “Chaos”
New Jersey-based singer-songwriter Helen O'Shea will release her upcoming third studio album “Songs In The Key of O” on March 6, 2026.
It marks her first album in three years since the 2023 album “Sturdy Souls”.
The album is a loving tribute to Irish singer-songwriters Sinéad O’Connor and Dolores O’Riordan, featuring 6 cover songs of them.
It is a love letter to two of Helen O’Shea’s biggest influences in music and in life.
The album also features a talented lineup of collaborators, including Nathan Bishop, Nicole Scorsone, Brielle Brown, Michelle Moore, Fiona Tyndall, Lauren O'Shea, and more.
From the album, she released a new song “Chaos” on October 10, 2025.
The song is the third single off of the album, following “Dense Water, Deeper Down” and “Rock And Roll Angel”
It was written by Barry Murphy, Helen McNamara, and Marc Swersky, who also produced the track.
The track features Marc Swersky on bass, Andrew Carillo on guitar, Rob Clores on keyboards, and Aaron Comess on drums.- Helen O'Shea said of the song, “They say that one writes what one knows and I was definitely living in chaos for a while during a move. This song describes the inside of a mind full of to do list items competing with each other and leading to total overwhelm but with a note of hope at the end, which I try to include in most of my songs.”
