  • PinkPantheress Performs “Tonight” & Cover of Charli xcx's “Apple” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge

  • London-based singer-songwriter PinkPantheress appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform “Tonight” and a cover of British singer-songwriter Charli xcx's “Apple”.

This marks her musical guest debut on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.
“Tonight” was featured on her sophomore mixtape “Fancy That”, which was released back in May.
The track samples American pop rock band Panic! at the Disco's “Do You Know What I'm Seeing?”, which is featured on their 2008 album “Pretty. Odd.”

PinkPantheress said of the song, “My first attempt at UK bassline and the first song in which I use a profanity. Could this get any more serious???”

“Apple” was released by Charli xcx from her sixth studio album “Brat” in August 2024. It was written by Charli XCX, George Daniel, Linus Wiklund and Noonie Bao, and produced by Charli xcx, A. G. Cook, Daniel, and Wiklund.

PinkPantheress said of the song, “Such a just a good track. It's just iconic. It's amazing. It's a modern day classic.”
  • She performed two songs ahead of her upcoming remix album of “Fancy That” entitled “Fancy Some More?”, which is out this Friday (October 10th).
The album is reimagined of “Fancy That” by several artists, including Adame DJ, Anitta, Basement Jaxx, Bladee, DJ Caio Prince, Groove Armada, JADE, Joe Goddard, JT, KAYTRANADA, KILIMANJARO, Kylie Minogue, Leo D, Loukeman, Mochakk, Oklou, Rachel Chinouriri, Ravyn Lenae, Sega Bodega, SEVENTEEN, Sugababes, Yves and Zara Larsson.

PinkPantheress told BBC Radio 1 about the album, ”I'm so honored to have all of these. I'm really excited. I think for me, having Basement Jaxx on it was the one where I was like, 'Oh my gosh.' Because I love them, number ones. Out of our maiden, Kaytranada as well. I would love to see him live.”
