  • The Strumbellas Releases New Song “Skin of My Teeth”

  • Canadian rock band The Strumbellas, consisting of David Ritter (keyboards), Darryl James (bass), Isabel Ritchie (violin/keyboards), Jon Hembrey (guitar) and Jimmy Chauveau (vocals/guitar), will be released their upcoming EP “Burning Bridges Into Dust” on October 24, 2025.

The EP is their first project in over a year since the 2024 album “Part Time Believer”.
From the EP, the band released a new song “Skin of My Teeth” on September 26, 2025.
The song is the third single off of the EP, following “Maybe It's Me” and “Hard Lines”.
The track captures the struggle of holding on to a dream when doubts, obstacles, and setbacks make you want to quit. It's a song about resilience, reminding us that no matter how heavy dreams feel, giving up is never the answer.
It was written by Trent Dabbs, Darryl James, David Ritter, Isabel Ritchie, James David Chauveau, John-Luke Carter, and Jonathan Hembrey. Produced by Chad Copelin.
  • The EP comprises 6 tracks, produced by Chad Copelin.

The band lead singer Jimmy Chauveau told Indie88 about the EP, “I think that's the thing that makes The Strumbellas as who they are. It's such a collaborative sort of effort with it. And we're always, we just go in and we're like, let's make this piece of music, the best thing that we can walk away with kind of thing. And it's so nice to having, like, the different visions of the song come in. Because the collaboration makes it so that like one person may listen to that song and be like, 'Oh, this is the saddest thing I've ever heard.' And then somebody might listen to it and be like, 'Oh, it's optimistic. There's hope to it.' And I kind of, I love that, because it kind of relieves the pressure of you sitting down with a piece of paper going. Okay, I'm going to write this story like this. It's nice to just have different input.”
