Olivia Dean Performs “Man I Need” & Cover of Ravyn Lenae's “Love Me Not” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge
London-based singer-songwriter Olivia Dean appears on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform “Man I Need” and a cover of American singer-songwriter Ravyn Lenae's “Love Me Not”.
“Man I Need” is featured on her sophomore album “The Art of Loving”, which was released last month.
The song was released as the third single from the album. The song reached No. 2 on the UK singles chart and No. 25 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
It became her first chart entry in the United States, but is the fifth most played song in the world on Spotify in 2025.
The track was written by Olivia Dean, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Zach Nahome, who also produced it.
Olivia Dean said of the song, “'Man I Need” is a song about knowing how you deserve to be loved and not being afraid to ask for it. It's forward, sexy, fun! It's made for dancing!”- The original version of “Love Me Not” was released by Ravyn Lenae as the lead single from her second studio album “Bird's Eye” in May 2024.
The son went viral on TikTok in late 2024, after which it became her breakout and reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.
