KETTAMA Announces Debut Album “Archangel”, Premieres New Song “Sort It Out” featuring Clouds on BBC Radio 1
Irish DJ KETTAMA has announced his upcoming debut album “Archangel” will be released on October 3, 2025.
From the album, he premiered a new song “Sort It Out” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Sian Eleri.
The song is the fifth single off of the album. On the track, he teamed up with Scottish DJ duo Clouds.
The track was written by KETTAMA, Liam Robertson, and Calum Macleod. Produced by KETTAMA and Clouds.
KETTAMA told Sian Eleri about the song, “What can I say about it? Really, to be honest, it's intense, bit mental, to be played in daytime radio, mid time radio. So that's definitely first that I didn't think would happen. But I just want to definitely a stand up song. Many months in the making, with me and the Glasgow duo Clouds. Just maybe I think we made it in winter. So it was kind of dreaming of dreaming, a dream of summer long nights. So, I mean, I think we had a couple weeks off, and we wanted a big club track. So that's where it came from boredom. A yearning for a club track, really. That was it.”- The debut album comprises 15 tracks, featuring guest appearances from SØLV, seantommy, Interplanetary Criminal, DJ HEARTSTRING, Shady Nasty, Fred again.., Prospa, and Clouds.
He said of the album, “It's my first album ever, really. So excited, nervous, worried about what people think to a degree, but it's not really how you live. So, I'm just more excited that I even have this much music, having 15 songs in one, like a living body, even saying that itself is kind of mental, because I always struggled even to get four songs for an EP. So it's already just come together a bit naturally. So I'm very nervous to be honest, I'm excited.” -
He continued, “Looking back on it and naming it and stuff like that. It's kind of like the death of the album by coming out. But the start of me as like an album artist. But I can actually do this. And I'm confident the stuff I put out. So it's just different music, between house techno and slower bits and burial stuff, kind of esque and ambient music. It's not something I've ever put out on the EP together. So it's just the death of that I guess, already just the death of old me.” - source : BBC Radio 1
