CHINCHILLA Releases New Song “To Have & Hold”
London-based singer-songwriter CHINCHILLA released a new song “To Have & Hold” on September 12, 2025.
The song is the third installment in a trilogy “Ok As I Am: The Trilogy”, following “Avoidance” and “Ok As I Am”.
The trilogy of singles is her first project in over a year since the 2024 EP “Flytrap”.
In the trilogy, she explores heartbreak with honesty and power, taking a beautiful turn inward.
“Ok As I Am: The Trilogy” Vinyl is set to be released on October 24, 2025.
The track was written by Daisy Bertenshaw, Georgia Meek, Nicolas Rebscher, Yannick Rastogi, and Zacharie Raymond. Produced by Banx & Ranx.
CHINCHILLA said of the song, “'To Have & Hold' is my liberation song. I don't think I've ever listened to a song more after I've written it than this one. That chorus has something in it that is so addictive. Maybe it's the way it makes me feel, the freedom in the lyrics and the big freeing vocal in the chorus. Maybe it's the transitional time in my life that I wrote it. It makes me feel like I'm flying.”- She continued, “This trilogy of songs has been so honest, so specific in the lyrics, I love how this song says it so plainly, 'love don't mean control' - a simple statement, it's all that needs saying, unarguable. To end the trilogy on this one feels hopeful and joyous. A celebration of strength and self love and hope for the future. I'm also obsessed with the sexy verses and guitar licks - could listen to them for houuuuurs!”
She added, “I made this with Georgia Meek and Banx & Ranx, then worked on it myself in my shed, then got Mathias Lunde to come in and put some SEXXXY guitar on it, and then did some finishing touches with Nicolas Rebscher because I loved his sound on 'ok as I am' so much, then James Mellor on mix, Randy Merrill on master.” - source : Apple Music
