Colbie Caillat Releases New Song “Live Without” featuring Maddie & Tae
Last month, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat announced her upcoming first country duets album “This Time Around” will be released on August 29, 2025 via her own label Blue Jean Baby.
The eighth studio album is her first body of work in two years since the 2023 album “Along the Way”.
From the album, she released a new song “Live Without” on August 1, 2025.
This time, she joined forces with American female country music duo Maddie & Tae.
It is the fourth single off of the album, following “If You Love Me Let Me Go” featuring Russell Dickerson, “Realize” featuring Mitchell Tenpenny, and “Can’t Say No” featuring Ryan Hurd.
With sparkling production and an empowering hook, the song captures that moment when grief gives way to freedom.
The track was written by Colbie Caillat, Eric Arjes, Jimmy Robbins, and Liz Rose. Produced by Jimmy Robbins and Eric Arjes.
The accompanying music video was directed by Brenton Giesey and filmed at Gold Pacific Studios in Nashville.- Colbie Caillat said of the song, “This is a new song that really hits home in what I’m experiencing in life right now. It’s an upbeat song that releases you from heartbreak. I’ve known Maddie & Tae for many years – they’re two of the sweetest, most humble, genuine women with so much talent and excitement for life. They’re a great example of healthy women in the music industry, and I’m proud to call them my friends.”

The new album comprises 12 tracks, produced by Eric Arjes and Jimmy Robbins, featuring collaboration with Amos Lee, Chris Young, Colbie Caillat, Gavin DeGraw, Hillary Scott, Jason Mraz, Lee Brice, Maddie & Tae, Maren Morris, Mitchell Tenpenny, Russell Dickerson, Ryan Hurd and Walker Hayes.
Colbie Caillat said of the album, “I’ve wanted to revisit some of my older singles for years, but never really carved out the time. My voice has matured a lot since I recorded them in my early 20s, and so has my production style and musical taste. Making them duets felt like a fun way to reimagine the songs and bring in fresh energy through collaborations with some of my favorite artists.” - source : Apple Music
