American rock band Post Animal, consisting of Dalton Allison (bass/vocals), Jake Hirshland (guitar/keyboard/vocals), Javi Reyes (guitar/vocals), Wesley Toledo (drums/vocals), Matt Williams (guitar/vocals) and Joe Keery (guitar), will release their upcoming fourth studio album “IRON” on July 25, 2025.
It is their first album in three years since the 2022 album “Love Gibberish”. Also, it is the first release after original band member Joe Keery, aka Djo returned to the band.
From the album, the abdn released a new song “What's A Good Life” along with a music video on June 26, 2025.
The song is the third and final pre-release single, following “Pie in the Sky” and “Last Goodbye”.
It was written by Dalton Allison, Jake Hirshland, Javier Reyes, Joe Keery, Matt Williams, and Wesley Toledo. Produced by Post Animal.
The accompanying video was directed by Pooneh Ghana. The clip features Nebraska-based armored combat team Omaha Hell Hounds.
The band said of the video, “They shifted their weekly strength training plans to accommodate our visit. Great people, real friends, making sure to do what they love to do.”- The new album comprises 10 tracks, written and produced by Post Animal.
Jake Hirshland said, “This record felt like a revitalisation of our friendships and our band. We always work collaboratively, but it’s amazing how reintroducing Joe into the mix brought back that dynamic from 2017.”
Joe Keery said, “We're all still such great friends, but now everybody has a lot more experience under their belts. I was just appreciative to be spending this time, knowing we might not get another chance to do this the way we're doing it right now. The record reflects that enjoyment, and you can feel the fun.”
Javi Reyes said, “We’re having fun making things that we’re proud of. It’s a more mature period for us as collaborators and as friends. We’re all vibing with each other creatively, enjoying the momentum and our friendship.”
Dalton Allison said, “All of these creative forces coming together, it was like iron sharpening iron. When we’re in proximity with one another, we make each other better.” - source : Apple Music
