Gatlin Announces Debut Album “The Eldest Daughter”, Shares New Song “Jesus Christ & Country Clubs”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Gatlin has announced her upcoming debut album “The Eldest Daughter” will be released on October 3, 2025 vi Dualtone Records.
From the album, she released a new song “Jesus Christ & Country Clubs” on July 16, 2025.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “If She Was a Boy” released back in May.
It was written by Gatlin Thornton, Jennifer Decilveo, and Liza Owen. Produced by Jennifer Decilveo.
The accompanying music video was directed by Jacq Justice.
Gatlin said of the song, “I am so lucky to get to write often with one of my closest friends, Liza Owen. Once in a conversation I said something along the lines of my old life being full of Jesus Christ and country clubs… which Liza wrote down and had on her phone for months before we brought it to Jenn.”- She continued, “This is the more rebellious track – about not being able to fit in where I grew up and not wanting to. I played a part for so many years growing up and when I finally left Florida I really got to discover who I am - and parts of who I am are rejected by my community and family. I wanted the production to be slightly dark, but anthemic.”

The album comprises 10 tracks, including collaborations with producer Jennifer Decilveo, singer-songwriter Liza Owen, and London-based indie rock duo Tommy Lefroy's Tessa Mouzourakis. Gatlin has produced or co-produced most of the tracks herself.
Gatlin said of the album, “This record is me exploring distance and perspective from my past, of owning the good and the bad and how they both informed the way I've made my own life. I know now who I am, where I'm from, and where I'm going.” - source : Apple Music
