SKAAR Releases New Song “Medicine”
Norwegian singer-songwriter SKAAR released her brand new song “Medicine” on October 10, 2025.
The song is a nod to self-reflection, capturing the feeling that everyone you’ve ever loved is out to hurt you and that karma will get you in the end.
The track is the follow-up to “Missing Out”, which was released back in June.
It was written by Hilde Skaar, Simon Oscroft, and Simon Wilcox. Produced by Simon Oscroft and Eivind Helgerød.
SKAAR said of the song, “‘Medicine’ is about struggling to be happy in a new relationship cause you're feeling guilty about someone you’ve hurt in the past. You start believing you’re a bad person who deserves punishment, so the only logical outcome is that the new person you love will hurt you. It’s not if, it’s when. You’ll taste your own medicine.”- She continued, “I’ve been dyyyying to show you this one. Written almost one year ago in a desperate attempt to understand my own mind. I’ve felt myself changing so much in the last year while also finding more and more comfort in excepting sides of myself I’ve been ashamed of. Using this song as a way of celebrating my own imperfections has kiiiind of been healing...??? Don’t ask me how!!! I’m so excited to share it with you... Maybe you’ll have a similar experience?? But that’s only of course if you dare to walk through the door ”
