VIOLENT VIRA Announces Debut Album “Lover Of A Ghost”, Shares New Song “Common Decency”
Mexican-American alt-rock singer-songwriter VIOLENT VIRA has announced her upcoming debut album “Lover Of A Ghost” will be released on November 14, 2025 via Mom+Pop Music.
The album comprises 14 tracks, produced by Anthony Brown, Anthony Brown and Jennifer Decilveo.
From the album, she unveiled a new song “Common Decency” on October 15, 2025.
The song is the third single off, following “Burn Me With A Bible” and “Saccharine”
It is a hard-hitting rock track that expresses the frustration that can exist in a relationship where two people are not on the same emotional page.
The track was written by Amy J Gonzalez, Anthony Brown, Jennifer Decilveo, Matt Bolling, and William Sadler. Produced by Anthony Brown and Jennifer Decilveo.
VIOLENT VIRA said of the song, “It’s really about the dance of two lovers wanting to admit love out loud but being terrified to be first, and then the tug of war, wondering who will say it first, along with the pride inside wanting it to be the other person!”- The album explores relationships in all their forms: friendship, family, partners, interwoven with her life experiences, including her Mexican heritage, fronting an all-male band, and the reality of everyday existence for this 20-something young woman.
VIOLENT VIRA said of the album, “The creation of the album was adjacent to the music itself. Making the record was the best time of my life, yet it was also the lowest. Whether it’s falling in love or falling into despair, it’s those experiences that shape us, and it’s those moments that birthed this album,” she continues, “So it’s like a reminder that life is worth living in every shape and form it comes in.
