Oliver Beardmore Releases New Song “Ammonite” featuring Punchlove
London-based singer-songwriter Oliver Beardmore joined forces with Brooklyn-based shoegaze band Punchlove to release a new song “Ammonite” on October 16, 2025.
This marks the first collaboration between Oliver Beardmore and Punchlove.
The song received its first play during BBC Music Introducing.
It is a searing exploration of projection and self-inflicted hurt.
The track was written by David Boyden, Jillian Olsen, and Oliver Beardmore. Produced by Oliver Beardmore and Xav Sinden.
Oliver Beardmore said of the song, “The song is about being drawn to people who share the same insecurities or flaws. We project our issues onto each other, but that weight often causes hurt that no one else is really to blame for. There’s freedom in no longer searching for your flaws in someone else, and relief in calling off that search. In the end, you can hurt yourself more than anyone else ever could - but there’s something almost hedonistic in giving yourself away to someone who’ll let you.”- He added, “This has been so long in the making, recorded at Real World near Bath and Scotty’s studio in New York in 24/25, we’re talking Taylor swift level air miles. Punchlove - thank you so much for making this happen! Was such a fan even before me met, can’t wait to see you again.”
