James Morrison Releases New Song “The Man Who Can't Be Loved”
British singer-songwriter James Morrison released the second single called “The Man Who Can't Be Loved” from his upcoming sixth studio album “Fight Another Day” on June 27, 2025.
The album is set to be released on October 3, 2025 via Cooking Vinyl.
The song is a soulful piano ballad, exploring feelings of self-doubt within relationships.
It was written by Adam James, James Morrison, and Kjetil Mørland. Produced by Mark Taylor, as with the previous song “Fight Another Day”.
James Morrison said of the song, “The Man Who Can't Be Loved is a song about being in a place where you feel like you're not enough or you're inadequate in loving someone and questioning who you are.”- The new album comprises 13 tracks. It is his first album in six years since the 2019 album “You're Stronger Than You Know”. Also, it is the first release under his new label Cooking Vinyl.
James Morrison said of the album, “When I leaned into how I was feeling, that's when the songs started coming. I started writing about what I was going through. My own struggles with myself. Every day being a bit of a battle. Trying to eke the light out after what felt like darkness for ages. I'm really proud of the album in terms of the creative, sonic elements and how I dealt with truthful stuff. But also it's an album of songs that hopefully make you feel better and make you nod your head and stamp your feet and singalong.” -
