Clean Bandit Releases New Song “Believe” featuring Lloyiso
British electronic music trio Clean Bandit, consisting of Grace Chatto (cello), Jack Patterson (keyboards) and Luke Patterson (drums), teamed up with South African singer-songwriter Lloyiso to release a new song “Believe” on July 4, 2025 via B1 Records.
This marks the first collaboration between Clean Bandit and Lloyiso. They first performed the song at Isle of Wight Festival last month.
The song is the follow-up to “Tell Me Where U Go” with Tiësto and Leony, which was released back in April.
The track explores the idea of making choices for yourself, even during difficult and uncertain times.
It was written by Bubbele Booi, David Balshaw, Grace Chatto, Jack Patterson, Loyiso Mandlovandile Gijana, and Paul Hammer. Produced by Jack Patterson and The Imports.
Grace Chatto said of the song, “This is probably our most organic collaboration ever. We met Lloyiso in South Africa a few years ago after we performed in Johannesburg. I randomly met his friends, The Imports, who invited me to their house in Cape Town to write some songs. I was supposed to fly home and the rest of Clean Bandit had to go back to London, but I decided to stay, impulsively.”- She continued, “Then Lloyiso walked in and just sang, at the top of his lungs. It was so moving, I've never ever heard anything like it in my life. We recorded the high melody. I sent a voice note to Jack who had just landed back in London. He was so excited by the melody and immediately sent back some incredibly beautiful chords. We all went crazy when we heard them - making a song across continents felt so special, and the song was basically finished there and then.”
