Jax Jones Releases New Song “Back In My Bed” featuring MEYY
British DJ Jax Jones joined forces with London-based Belgian-Korean singer-songwriter MEYY to release a new song “Back In My Bed” on may 30, 2025.
This marks the firs collaboration between Jax Jones and MEYY.
The song is taken from his upcoming project “Y2J”, following Bad Boys with Rebecca Black and sooyeon.
The track was inspired by DJ Casper's “Cha Cha Slide”, which was released in 2000.
It was written by Billen Ted, Jin Jin, Lauren Keen, and Timucin Lam. Produced by Jax Jones, and Neave Applebaum.
Jax Jones said of the song, “I showed MEYY the final mix of her vocal on our song. We met up in the studio. I couldn't tell if she liked it. MEYY wasn't giving anything away. I think she likes it... I was getting hyped to hear the chorus. I'm about to sprain my neck with excitement. She's ready for it...You can't help but dance to the chorus. Yes she likes it.”- Jax Jones explained the making of the song, “I don't know when the last time the Cha Cha Slide was used as a reference, but I think it turned out okay. I imagine a song that mixes DJ Casper 'Cha Cha Slide' with a lyric about telling your ex to f*ck off. First we need a bass that makes you go... Get a kick in there as well. Saying f*ck off with conviction but that ain't enough need some drama so when you're saying f*ck off. It's got meaning. Yeah this is for that girl you cheated with. This one's for the time you didn't pick me up. This one's for the time I wanna f*ck off. All together that sounds like this... If your ex ain't getting the message though. We need the vocal to just make it as clear as day, 'yes I can forgive / no won't for get'. Wait to the end to hear her sign it off. All together with some emotional guitars. The lyric that explains why you telling him to f*ck off 'don't care what you're saying / you know I'm amazing'. I'm amazing and I deserve better. That's right girl. You do I've told him to leave. You did the right thing babes. Put it all together 'yes I can forgive / no I won't forget / stop begging to come back / back in my bed / get the fuck out of my head' Get f*ck up out my head.”
