Mae Stephens Releases New Song “Tiny Voice”
British singer-songwriter Mae Stephens released her brand new single “Tiny Voice” on July 17, 2025.
The song is the follow-up to “Woah Man!”, which was released back in March.
“Tiny Voice” sees Mae Stephens share the intrusive thoughts in her mind that she struggles to keep locked away, from an illogical desire to eat parts of a chemistry set, to a compulsion to draw penises on a toilet wall – all those things which divert your mind from emotions or tasks that you don’t want to face… but ones that you regret as soon as you do them.
Mae Stephens co-wrote the song with Pablo Bowman and producer Lost Boy.
The accompanying music video was directed by Willow Hazell.
Mae Stephens said of the song, “‘Tiny Voice’ is a fun, tongue-in-cheek exploration of the random thoughts that can pop into my brain. The song’s message is to show that everyone has these thoughts. Whilst they may help us cope with different pressures, sometimes the fun has to end as it can be detrimental to listen to every thought and you need to tell it to shut up.”- Mae Stephens told NOTION about working with Pablo Bowman and Lost Boy, “It was such an awesome session! I’d worked with Lostboy once before, so there were still a few first-time nerves in the room. Like most sessions, we started off just chatting, and then the phrase ‘Tiny Voice’ came up. As soon as I heard it, something clicked in my brain, and we were off. The idea came to life so naturally, and we pretty much dove straight in from there!”
