Leigh-Anne Returns With New Song “Been A Minute”
British singer-songwriter and former Little Mix, Leigh-Anne returned with a new song “Been A Minute” on July 18, 2025.
The song is her first music in a year since the EP “No Hard Feelings”, which was released last June.
Also, it is her first release as an independent artist, following her departure from Warner Records.
In an attempt to honor some of the songs she heard growing up, the track samples American garage house music group Masters at Work's “Work”, which was released in 2002.
The track was written by Anastas Hackett, Chazara Odom, Elijah Ross, J Warner, Lasse Qvist, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Produced by Elijah Ross, Lasse 'Lou x Two' Qvist.
The accompanying music video was directed by Femi Lade.- Leigh-Anne said of the song, “There’s something powerful about sampling a song that shaped me growing up. I used to play it with friends when I was younger, and now I’ve reimagined it as the soundtrack to my comeback. ‘Been a Minute’ is fun, nostalgic, and the first taste of this new era.”
She added, “This moment means more than you know. I took the leap to go independent because I believe in my music THAT MUCH. I needed the freedom to create without compromise, to show up fully as me.
