Dagger Polyester Releases New Song “Father Panik”
Los Angeles-based punk rock singer-songwriter Dagger Polyester will their upcoming debut album “Perversion for Profit” on August 1, 2025.
The album comprises 9 tracks, produced by Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes.
From the album, they released third single called “Father Panik”, following “Conversion Therapy” and “She Kissed The Gun”.
The song is a propulsive glam rock exploration of personal ads, limerence and the state of modern romance.
Dagger Polyester recorded the song with producer Chris Robinson at Sunset Sound studios in Hollywood.
Initially written before the album’s recording sessions began, the track was modified after a conversation with Chris Robinson concerning old Hollywood gossip, with Dagger Polyester choosing to amplify the song’s dark humor and satire.- Dagger Polyester said of the song, “Once upon a time I came across a leather mag called “Father Panik” that featured a bunch of salacious personal ads. It got me thinking about homosexual fantasies of masculinity, along with the gay panic defense tragically used in court to justify murder. Denying one’s fantasies seems to breed only violence and confusion, so Pervert Yourself or... Panik!”
