Dynasty Releases New Song “Combative Heart”
Hamilton-based synth-pop duo Dynasty, consisting of Jenni Dreager (vocals) and Roman Marcone (produce), released their second single called “Combative Heart” on July 16, 2025.
The song is the follow-up to their debut song “Hope”, which was released back in May.
The track captures what it feels like to ride into the unknown, trusting the journey even when it’s messy.
It's a song about a part of yourself that resists when you try to move forward, and about learning to embrace it instead of rejecting it.
Sonically, it builds on heartbeat rhythms, airy synths, and spacious melodies through '80s-inspired textures.
The track was and produced by Jenni Dreager and Roman Marcone.- The duo said of the song, “This was actually the second song we ever worked on together, and kind of the nail in the coffin of deciding to release this project. We felt this intense excitement as it started to build, and it almost brought tears to our eyes. It was like, okay... we have to share this. We wanted it to feel like a journey. Emotional, open - like you could close your eyes and just be on the ride.”
