Neutral Snap Returns With New Song “Danny ACOG”
New Orleans-based pop-punk band Neutral Snap, consisting of Joshua Latham (vocals), JP Brown (guitar), Dan Conforte (bass) and PJ Huesmann (drums), returned with a new song “Danny ACOG” on June 6, 2025.
The song will appear on their upcoming EP “I Hardly Know He”, which is set to be released on August 8, 2025.
The EP is their first project in four years since the 2021 album “Tell Me How I Feel”.
The track is a timeless story of unrequited lust packaged with punchy rhythms, sharp hooks, and raw but melodic vocals.
This time, the band co-wrote the song with American rock band A Day to Remember's guitarist Tom Denney. Produced by Rob Freeman.
The band told The LUNA about the song, “When writing the first two albums, I sometimes found myself cycling through the same dreary emotions. I think when we got around to writing this one I was in a much healthier place and was allowed to like not lose myself in the angst if that makes sense. I think in order to keep your sense of youthful optimism, you gotta get yourself through a good bit of angst! I think that theme of getting through angst is prevalent in this song and EP!”- The accompanying music video was directed by Mackenzie Andrews.
The band said of the video, “I think the whole sub story of gramps watching all of our live footage and him remembering how he used to play in a band back in the day (a Doo-Wop band from the 50's, how cool is that?!). We really let our video editor (shoutout Mackenzie Andrews and Fred's in Baton Rouge, LA!) flex her creative muscles and she crushed it with a storyline promoting feelings of nostalgia and time passing.” - source : Apple Music
