Raphaela Returns With New Song “Leave Him First”
Lebanese-Canadian singer-songwriter Raphaela returned with a new song “Leave Him First” on May 16, 2025.
The song is her first music since the 2024 single “Be My Hero”, which was released last July.
Also, the track will appear on her upcoming debut EP, which is expected to be released in 2025.
The EP is a collection of songs that explore love with newfound warmth, optimism, and a touch of dreamy nostalgia.
The track is a cinematic and empowering pop track that flips the script on betrayal and heartbreak. It begins as a classic tale of romantic infidelity, depicting a conversation between two women who unknowingly share the same partner.
It was written by Raphaela Rita Nehme and produced by Steve Foley.- Raphaela said of the song, “I started writing this song like I was confronting him, but it didn't feel right. The moment I rewrote it as a message to the girl he cheated with, everything clicked. It's about breaking the cycle – telling her, woman to woman, that she deserves better. That shift gave me a sense of empowerment I didn't expect. It made the song feel more honest, more healing.”
