Felicia Lu Releases New Album “BITTERSWEET”
Vienna-Berlin based indie-pop singer-songwriter Felicia Lu released her sophomore album “BITTERSWEET” on June 6, 2025.
It marks her first album in two years since the 2023 debut album “Something Regrettable”.
Also, it is the first release as an independent artist.
The album comprises 16 tracks, including the 2024 8-track EP “BITTER”, the 202t 7-track EP “SWEET” and a new song “Hot Rain In Summer”.
Produced by Dany Weisz, FRIDO, and Thomas Thurner.
Felicia Lu said of the album, “My first album told the story of being betrayed in a relationship and the breakup. And my second album is about the journey after the breakup. Your heart being bitter and then slowly turning sweet again.”- She continued, “My second album... but my first as an independent artist. No label. No safety net. Just me, my vision, and the music that lives closest to my heart. This record holds pieces of my soul, stories I've lived, lessons I've learned, and emotions I've finally put into words. It's been scary, freeing, overwhelming, and beautiful all at once.”

“Still Alive”
“Still alive is one of my favourite songs of my album 'bittersweet'. It captures the intense, awakening moment when you break free from the suffocating grip of a relationship that made you lose yourself. It's like emerging from a dark, twisted dream, where you suddenly realize the person your ex molded you into is a mere shadow of your true self. I hope you'll love it. “Run”
“If you ever thought about going to your ex, this is for you. You wrote a song his next girl. Someone's gotta warn her.”
“Bigger One”
“This song is for the girlies with a scar under their chin. Some friendships stay and some were never. Funny how I stopped reaching out first and haven't heard from them since.

“Indifferent”
“The song is the last song that I ever wrote for my ex. Cause all that I have left is not anger, it's not sadness even. The only thing that I've left for him is pure indifference.”
“Better After You”
“Letting go of toxic people really does change your life. My first ever release as an independent artist. I'm beyond excited for what's yet to come and I hope you're gonna listen the living sh!t out of this one.”
“Unlearn”
“I wrote this song about losing someone you love. Not because of falling out or cheating or whatever but for bigger reasons. Saying goodbye to someone you still very much love and knowing it couldn't be anther way. If you ever lost someone you love I hope this song will feel like a hug to you. Unlearn to love you now you're away.”
“Woman”
“It was time I said thank you. Mother's Day is coming up and I'd love you to surprise your moms with this song. They all deserve a thank you.” - source : Apple Music
